Wynn Creasy Fine Art, LLC I am Wynn Creasy. I am an artist currently based in Springfield, VA (in the Metropolitan DC area of our nation.) I am a Fine Art and Fine Crafts person who works in several different media, crossing the line between Fine Art and fine Craft. I am a self taught artist who loves brilliant color and who has a passion for the sensuous and tactile qualities of silk and oils, and of the world around us. I work primarily in landscpe format. I was lucky to be born in the Southwest part of Virginia. The Virginia Landscape of my childhood in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Appalachia Virginia provides the inspiration of a vast majority of my work. As a craftsperson I work in primarily Hand-painted/ Hand Crafted silks for home decor - using Traditional French Silk painting techniques combined with a watercolor type technique of free style painting I have developed for myself. My subject is almost always The Virginia Landscape. I exhibit and sell my work in a variety of venues - from Fine Art Galleries to out door Art-fairs, Craft shows, and to wholesale and retail stores. As a Fine Artist I work primarily in Oil Pastels and the occassional large oil painting. I concentrate in the Virginia Landscape. I ahve been most influenced by Ann Aves Martin, Wolf Kahn, and Rothko. My painting is my life and my livelihood. Every day of my life is spent pursuing the creations of quality work that is both functional and touches the soul of each person who comes in contact with it.
